Attorney Dufour practices in the areas of real estate, both commercial and residential, commercial and business law, environmental law, and estate planning. In the area of real estate, he handles many different types of transactions, and has extensive experience in assisting clients with issues relating to environmentally contaminated properties. He also advises business owners in a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing.
Attorney Dufour graduated from Brown University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies. He graduated from Boston University School of Law in 1985 where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Boston University Law Review.
He is a member of the Real Property Environmental Law Sections of the Connecticut Bar Association.
Attorney Dufour has been involved in a number of non-profit organizations in the New Haven area. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Food Bank and the Greater New Haven Community Loan Fund. He is also a consistent volunteer at the New Haven Security Deposit Clinic run by Statewide Legal Services, where he helps individuals obtain refunds of their apartment security deposits. For his work with this nonprofit clinic Attorney Dufour was awarded the 2014 Anthony V. DeMayo Pro Bono Award.
